I unforetunately got to experience the hinge problem firsthand the other day with daughter's NDSL (ironically after having read about others having had issues with it :/). Hopefully someone here can help me... My girlfriend managed to brake her DS. Was walking up the stairs, tripped, and her WHOLE weight went onto the DS, which unfortunately, was open at the time.
